Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, Professor Tor Joe Iorapuu has called on the Publicity Sub -Committee of the 22nd-24th Convocation Ceremonies of the institution slated for December 5th-7th, 2024 to give the events adequate publicity.
Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee, Dr. Tyotom Keghku in a statement Saturday said, Professor Iorapuu made the call during an emergency meeting, he held with the Chairman and members of the Sub-Committee.
According to the statement, the Vice Chancellor urged the Chairman and members of the Sub-Committee to use all forms and formats of mass media; arrange discussion programmes, design, produce and place quality jingles; and ensure prompt distribution of invitation cards and other publicity materials.
In his response, Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee, Dr. Tyotom Keghku promised to bring in the professional know-how of members to bear on their mandate and pledged their commitment towards working in collaboration with other Sub-committees and the University Management for the overall success of the combined convocation ceremonies.
Members of the Sub-Committee present at the meeting were Dr. Kevin Alom, Dr. John Onah, Dr Ben Ogbu, Terseer Mnzuulghga, DG Radio Benue; Samuel Atachin, GM Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation (Publishers of The Voice) and Stephen Alechenu of BNTV.
