Arsenal football club has extended the contract of their former captain, Mikel Arteta as head coach on a three-and half-year deal terminating in 2027.
The 42-year-old has been in charge of the club since 2019 and has led the club to successive second place in premiere league finishes. He won the FA Cup twice in a five-year career with the Gunners and has recorded higher successes than his fellow Spaniard, Unei Emery.
Among other successes recorded include, leading Arsenal to FA cup trophy in his first season as their manager in 2019/2020. The Gunners also edged ties against Leeds United, AFC Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Manchester United and Chelsea football club.
