Breaking: Gov Alia appoints Aondoakaa SA on Local Govt. & Chieftaincy Affairs

Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Mr. Denen Aondoakaa as the new Special Adviser of Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, in a statement Sunday evening said, the former adviser, Dr. Denis Akura is to take charge of Financial and Economic Strategy, Planning, and Development.

The statement reads; “Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved new portfolios for Mr. Denen Aondoakaa, who will take charge of the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

“Dr. Denis Akura has been reassigned to advise the Governor in a higher capacity on Financial and Economic Strategy, Planning, and Development.

“Prior to this approval, Mr. Aondoakaa served as the Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to the Governor, heading the Delivery Unit.

“He holds a B.Sc. in Economics and an MBA in Finance. He previously worked at the JED Makurdi Regional Office as Head of Revenue Optimization and served as a Technical Advisor at BIRS. He was also a Branch Operational Manager at Fidelity”

According to the statement, the changes take immediate effect.
