As the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has identified with citizens of the State and the Christian community worldwide as they mark the significant occasion.
The SSG, in his felicitation message today, disclosed that the festive season is a time for joy, love and giving. “It is also a time to reflect on the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that Jesus Christ embodied.
“As we celebrate, let us remember the less privileged and vulnerable members of our society, and let us strive to make a positive impact in our communities”, he said
The SSG stated that the State Government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a peaceful and enjoyable celebration, adding that the government also urges citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
“The spirit of Christmas characterized by love, peace, and goodwill reminds us of our shared humanity and the importance of coming together as one community, transcending our differences and supporting one another”, the SSG added.
Alhaji Usman revealed that the past year has presented its challenges, but the resilience, strength and unwavering spirit of the good people of the state have been truly remarkable. “We have weathered difficulties with courage and maintained our collective hope for a brighter future”
He prayed that this year’s Christmas brings joy to every homes, healing to the communities and renewed hope for prosperity, stressing that, “we should cherish these moments with our loved ones and look forward to a promising new year”
