The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, CP Shetima Mohammed has decorated 117 officers who have been promoted by the Nigeria Police Force.
This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Relations ( PPRO) in the State, Ramhan Nansel who has been decorated with the rank of Superintendent of Police ( SP).
According to the statement, the CP while decorating the promoted officers, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) for recognising the deserving officers and promoting them accordingly.
While congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Commissioner urged those who have been promoted to maintain professionalism and civility in their interactions with the public while performing their duties.
He emphasised that, the promotion was a reflection of their hard work and dedication to duties in the state.
The CP further encouraged the officers to see their promotions as an added responsibility that should inspire them to work even harder.
He further reminded the officers of the heightened challenges and responsibilities associated with their new ranks, warning that that any unprofessional conduct would be taken very seriously.
The CP advised the officers to continue to uphold the cherished values of the Nigeria Police Force by taking proper care of their families and celebrating their achievements modestly.
“Your status has changed. Your attitude must change,” the CP said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, CSP Mark Adakole expressed heartfelt appreciations to the Commissioner of Police for recommending the individuals for promotion.
He assured the CP that the officers will redouble their efforts to curbing crimes and further elevate the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
