2025 Armed Forces Day: Niger Govt. pledge sustained support for Nigerian armed forces.

The Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago has promised that his administration will continue to support the military as well as other security agencies in the State.

This was made known on Wednesday by the Governor at the 2025 Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration and Wreath-laying Ceremony in Minna.

Umaru Bago reiterated that his administration will continue to collaborate with the military and provide a conducive atmosphere for all the security agencies in the state to enable them carry out their duties of ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizenry.

The Governor who noted that the service of those who paid the supreme price with their lives to ensure peace and security in the state and the country at large cannot be over emphasized said, the state government will continue to support their widows and widowers for them to have a sense of belonging in the society.

Highpoint of the ceremony was the wreath laying by the Governor subsequently followed by the Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly represented by his Deputy, Mrs Afiniki Dauda, Heads of security Agencies and the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers Alh. Yahaya Abubakar.

Others include the Chairman, Nigeria Legion, Niger State Chapter, Alh. Mamuda Ahmed and the representatives of the widows of the fallen heroes, Hajiya Hadiza Tamba.

Other features at the event were special Prayers for the souls of the fallen heroes, gun salute, signing of the register and the presentation of a N50m cheque to the Niger State Chapter of the Nigerian Legion.

The Governor also released Pigeons symbolizing peace in the state and the country at large.
