A group of young people, under the aegis of “Benue Pro Active Youth Movement support for Alia and Hwande”, Saturday carried out a sanitation exercise within the premises of Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) and the Benue State University’s second campus gate as a way of contributing to the society.
The group who were armed with baskets, shovels, and cleaning equipment, diligently picking up empty sachet water waste and clearing overgrown bushes in the area were sighted in the early hours of Saturday.
Their efforts were aimed at keeping the hospital premises clean, thereby demonstrating their support for Governor Alia’s administration.
According to Mr. Tyozua Theophilus, a member of the group, “We are solid supporters of Governor Alia, and our goal is to show our appreciation for the governor’s efforts in keeping our state clean and healthy. We also commend Dr. Stephen Hwande for his contributions to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.”
The group expressed their unwavering support for Governor Alia, pledging to stand by him “through thick and thin” as he works towards moving the state forward.
The sanitation exercise is a testament to their commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment, while also demonstrating their loyalty to the governor’s administration.
Every last Saturday of the month is set aside for sanitation exercise in Benue State, usually to promote hygiene with movement restrictions
