The Benue State Government has pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to develop the game of golf in the state. The Deputy Governor, Barrister Sam Ode made this commitment Saturday during the Makurdi Golf Club Captain’s Inaugural Tournament held at the Makurdi Golf Club.
As an avid golfer himself, Ode expressed his enthusiasm for the sport and assured that golf would be a priority in the state’s sports development agenda. He emphasized the importance of synergizing with relevant stakeholders to take the game to its full potential.
The Deputy Governor highlighted the tourist attraction potential of golf and praised the Makurdi Golf Club’s strategic location, describing it as one of the best in the country. He urged for the development of the club to unlock its full potential.
