Deputy Governor of Benue State, Barr Sam Ode, has received Hon Aye Parmenas Igbadoo, an aspirant for the Benue State House of Assembly for Ukum state constituency in 2027.
The presentation of Hon Aye was made on Thursday in Jos, Plateau State by Dr Richard Gbamwuan, a respected elder statesman and APC stalwart, during the official inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of Governor Alia’s political support group, the “Divine Mandate”, Jos chapter.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Governor assured that the Governor Alia-led administration would fulfill all campaign promises made to citizens during the 2023 elections.
In an interview with The Voice, Hon Aye expressed his aspiration to serve humanity through politics, stating that his constituents had requested him to contest. He pledged to perform optimally if given the opportunity.
As the Secretary-General of the Divine Mandate Jos chapter, Hon Aye has been adjudged to have performed beyond expectations.
The President of the Divine Mandate Jos chapter, Professor Cephas Tushima, noted that their support during the 2023 election had not been in vain, as the Alia-led administration had delivered on its promises. He pledged the group’s continued support in 2027.
Other dignitaries, including Ter Tiv Jos, Chief Peter Shirwua Apeh, Dr Comrade Richard Gbamwuan, and Dr Raphael Ojoh, commended Governor Alia’s good work.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied to the event by the Chief of Staff to Governor Alia, Rt Hon Paul Biam, Commissioner of Education, Reverend Fredrick Ikyaan, and other top government functionaries.
The event, held at Emerald Resort in Jos, drew a large crowd of supporters of the Benue State administration, led by Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, transcending party lines.
