With nearly two decades of teaching experience in prestigious institutions across Nigeria, the United States, China, Uganda, Rwanda, and Liberia, Prof. Tushima has made significant contributions to education and research. His academic journey has taken him to globally renowned institutions, including the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Calvin University, and Vid University. He has authored influential books, contributed to international reference works, and published numerous peer-reviewed articles.

Born in Mkar Christian Hospital on December 22, 1963, Prof. Tushima hails from Mbachom, Yaav Council Ward, Kwande Local Government Area. He is the grandson of Chief Anju Gar, a pioneer Chief in Tivland. His early experiences in leadership, from serving as a class prefect in primary school to presiding over national student associations, reflect his lifelong endowment and commitment to public service.

He is also a Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), a Fulbright Scholar, and a Langham Scholar.
