The Nigerian government has pledged continued support for local and foreign investors to boost the nation’s economy. At the Taraba International Potential Investment Summit 2025 in Jalingo, Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, highlighted the country’s rich mineral resources and the need for collaborative investment.
Shettima commended Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State for his visionary leadership in showcasing Taraba’s potential to the international community. He assured investors of a conducive environment, emphasizing unity, tolerance, and peace.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar welcomed the pledge, citing its potential to enhance economic growth. The Ghanaian President’s representative, Emmanuel Egucum, praised Governor Kefas’ vision and advised prudent investment management.
The Sultan of Sokoto and Bishop Kaigam urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s administration and Taraba people to rally behind Governor Kefas’ vision.
Tony Elumelu, Chairman of the occasion, described Governor Kefas as “God-sent” and praised the successful gathering of business leaders. The UBA plc CEO, Chief Elumelu, expressed interest in partnering with the Taraba State government, citing the state’s vast mineral resources.
Governor Kefas thanked President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, and other dignitaries for their support.
