A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Solomon Atongu, currently in charge of St. Theresa’s Catholic Parish in Jimba, has been shot by armed Fulani herdsmen along the Makurdi-Naka road while returning to his duty station.
The Voice gathered that, Rev. Fr. Solomon Atongu was traveling with two other occupants, whose identities are yet to be confirmed.
After shooting him and apparently believing he was dead, the armed Fulani herdsmen abducted the remaining individuals to an unknown destination. The priest is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital
