The Voice’s Editor Loses Father, Burial for June 12

Solomon Saaondo Ayado, Editor of The Voice Newspaper, has lost his father, Edward Akighir Ayado, who passed away at the age of 68 after a prolonged illness.

The late Edward Akighir Ayado was a renowned educationist who dedicated his life to teaching in various schools, retiring as a teacher in the Benue State Civil Service. The deceased was also a passionate community mobilizer and a devoted Christian. This was contained in a statement issued by Solomon Ayado, on behalf of the family.

According to the burial arrangements released and made available to newsmen on Monday by Solomon Saaondo Ayado, funeral proceedings will commence on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, when the remains will depart from General Hospital Gboko, with a brief stopover at his residence, and thereafter an all-night Christian wake at St. Linus Catholic Church Mfo, Mbagbera, Vandeikya LGA, Benue State.

It further revealed that on Thursday, June 12, 2025, the body will be laid to rest in the family compound at Ayado Family Village, near Anhyula Market, Mbaingbianatsor, Mbagbera, Vandeikya LGA, Benue State, followed by a reception.
