The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved fresh appointments into different parastatals in the state. Among the appointments is the pioneer Vice Chancellor for the newly established Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology ( BSUAST), Ihugh.
The Vice Chancellor is Professor Qrisstuberg Msughter Amua, while Dr Johnson Ijale Echor is the Registrar, Mr James Ormye, Bursar and Dr Demekaa Umbur, Librarian.
Other appointments as contained in the statement are: Dr Tyodoo Iyue, Provost, College of Education, Katsina Ala; Professor Ode Boniface Ogbu, Provost, College of Education, Oju.
Also, Anta Igbaato, Acting General Manager, Benue State Sanitation Authority; Bem Tseen, Acting Executive Secretary, Teaching Service Board, and Joseph Kwaghgba, Acting Chairman, Benue Internal Revenue Service.
A press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula said the ” development is in furtherance of the Governor’s commitment to repositioning all institutions of government for optimal service delivery, efficiency, and accountability”.
He said the new appointees were carefully selected based on their track records of competence, dedication, and integrity and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by discharging their duties diligently and in line with the administration’s vision of transforming Benue State.
Meanwhile, the present acting Executive Secretary, Teaching Service Board and the Acting Chairman Benue Internal Revenue Services are both directed to report to the Head of Service for reassignment while the acting General Manager, BENSESSA is to report to the Governor’s office.All appointments are with effect from the 7th July 2025, he said.
