The newly appointed Acting General Manager of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority (BenSESA), Hon. Chief Anta Igbaato, has called for the full cooperation of all staff to ensure the successful execution of his environmental sanitation mandate.
Chief Igbaato made this appeal during the handover ceremony at the Authority’s premises, where he officially took over from the outgoing Acting GM, Mrs. Nashima Jennifer Daniel.
He emphasized that achieving the state’s environmental goals hinges on the collective support and collaboration of the BenSESA team. He also expressed his gratitude to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia, for entrusting him with “this essential job of cleaning the Benue environment.”
A statement signed by the BenSESA Information Officer, Mr. Iorver Simon, noted that Mrs. Daniel, appointed on July 7, 2024, completed exactly one year in office. “This handover marks a transition, with Chief Igbaato expected to build upon her accomplishments and guide the Authority to new levels of success”
During her remarks, Mrs. Daniel offered heartfelt thanks to Almighty God for guidance and protection throughout her tenure. She also extended her appreciation to Governor Alia for the opportunity to contribute to his administration.
Mrs. Daniel highlighted several key achievements during her time as Acting GM, including the renovation of the administrative block, refurbishment of 22 previously broken down trucks, construction of a security post, an increase in casual staff wages, installation of a solar-powered borehole, and the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for workers, among others.
