The Nasarawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to hosting the 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games (FEDUGAM).
The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta made this known while receiving a two-man delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja who paid him a courtesy visit.
Hon. Kwanta lauded the Ministry and the organisers for choosing Nasarawa State as the host and assured that the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration would provide a conducive atmosphere for a successful event.
He noted, “Having successfully hosted the same organisation in 2017, we are confident that we will provide an enabling environment for the games.”
The Commissioner also assured participants and spectators of a memorable experience during the games.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Chief Okeyinka Matthew said, “We are delighted to partner with the Nasarawa State Government to host this prestigious event.
“We are confident that the state will provide a conducive environment for a successful games.
The 2- man delegation led by FEDUGAM Consultant, Chief Okeyinka Matthew accompanied by the Technical Assistant, Comrade Anthony Okoro, presented souvenir kits to the Commissioner, Permanent Secretary and Senior Directors of the Ministry.
They said the kits symbolise the tournament’s endorsement and acceptability in the state.
The 5th edition of FEDUGAM scheduled to take place in Lafia from August 4th to 10th, 2025 will feature 15 Federal Education Sector Agencies participating in various sporting activities.
The games are expected to promote unity, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among participants.
