The Benue State Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) Egnr John Enemari has dismissed the workability of the ongoing coalition arrangements of some opposition parties in the country.
Egnr Enemari who spoke to The Voice Politics in Makurdi on Monday said, the coalition cannot work because of the greed and selfish attitudes of the political class in the country.
He stated that although the party has not taken an official decision on the issue of coalition, the Benue State arm is keenly monitoring proceedings and waiting for the direction of the national leadership.
“We are waiting for direction from the national Secretariat of the party. Whatever decision they arrive at is what we shall abide by”
” But from experiences, agreed and selfishness will not allow them to succeed, even within our State -Benue. I do not think that will work because if everybody wants to be governor, who will step down for the other? That will be their problem in the long run”.
” As a person I would have preferred to operate in opposition in the State but as a loyal party man, whatever the leadership of the party decides on that will be binding on all of us “, he said.
