The Archbishop of Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly Worldwide, Bishop Emmanuel Jatau has called for a comprehensive revival in Nigeria, with a focus on infrastructure development, job creation and skill acquisition.
ArchBishop Jatau made the call on Sunday at a revival programme with the theme “Sign of Rain” organised by Bread of Life Ministry in Lafia to celebrate the ministry’s 13 years anniversary.
According to him, neglecting critical areas such as infrastructure development, job creation and skill acquisition could lead to unrest and revolution.
Archbishop Jatau emphasised the need for improved infrastructure to address Nigeria’s challenges.
He also stressed the importance of creating jobs and providing skill acquisition programs to reduce unemployment and hunger.
He noted that hungry and unemployed individuals are often angry and prone to violence.
“The whole nation needs a revival right now, not only spiritual revival but also political revival.
“When there is revival in our homes, in our communities, a lot of things are happening in this nation that, if not for the grace of God, this nation would not be where it is right now,” he said.
He also encouraged Nigerians to pray for their leaders, citing the biblical notion that God can change the hearts of leaders.
Archbishop Jatu stressed the importance of collective prayer and a change of mind, saying that evil actions are often perpetrated by individuals who have been misguided.
The Archbishop also noted the significance of the concurrent fasting periods of Christians and Muslims, believing that rare coincidence will yield answered prayers.
Archbishop Jatu expressed confidence that the country will experience a new breeze of healing, prosperity and unity after the fasting period.
“We need peace and how can you get peace when you have hungry people all around? Hungry people, like I say, are angry people,” he concluded.
On his part, the founder of Bread of Life Ministry Reverend Dr Emmanuel Ayige, expressed gratitude to the congregation as the ministry marked its 13th anniversary.
He said the revival programme was inspired by a divine revelation from the Holy Spirit and thus was extended by a week.
According to the founder, the extension was to accommodate a special prayer session for Nasarawa State, tagged “Nazareth Day,” aimed at praying for peace and prosperity in the state.
“We decided to bring in a great man of God to pray for the state, the governor and the people, so that God will answer our prayers and bring an end to the evil things happening in Nigeria,” the founder explained.
The Voice reports that the revival programme was an opportunity for the congregation to come together and intercede for the state’s well-being.
The ministry’s 13-year anniversary programme served as a testament to the power of faith in God.
