Niger SSG extends warm felicitation to Christians on good friday and easter monday celebrations

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has extended warm felicitations to Christians in the state and beyond as they commemorate Good Friday and Easter Monday.

In a statement signed by his Public Relations Officer, Lawal Tanko, the SSG noted that this sacred period embodies the core values of sacrifice, love, forgiveness, and hope, which are fundamental to collective existence.

Alhaji Usman acknowledged the significance of this season to the Christian faith, describing it as a time for deep reflection, renewal, and recommitment to Jesus Christ’s teachings. He urged Christian faithful to pray for peace, progress, and development in Niger State and Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence, religious tolerance, and national unity.

The SSG also appealed for security consciousness during the celebration, directing security agencies to ensure adequate protection of lives and property. On behalf of the Niger State Government, he wished Christians a solemn Good Friday and a joyous Easter Monday, hoping that the lessons of sacrifice, love, and resurrection would inspire meaningful contributions to the state’s and nation’s development.

Alhaji Usman further encouraged citizens to remember the less privileged and extend fellowship to them, guided by Jesus Christ’s teachings on compassion and selfless service. He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for all citizens to practice their faith freely and peacefully, while implementing policies to improve residents’ welfare regardless of religious, tribal, or political affiliations.

The SSG concluded by wishing Christians a blessed Easter celebration, praying that the resurrection power of Jesus Christ would bring renewed hope, healing, and prosperity to all citizens.
