NSF: Team Nasarawa scoops More Medals

Team Nasarawa has won two additional medals, bringing the total number of medals won by the state to 8 as of day 6 of the 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

 The two medals were won in Karate -62kg and -52kg respectively.

Mildred Monday and Laady Iho Louisa’s efforts paid off for the state, as they picked bronze medals. 

Team Nasarawa athletes received their medals on Thursday, led by the captain of the state, Beauty Timothy.

Meanwhile, Team Nasarawa Tennis won their first game in the male doubles on Friday at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

 Sani Yau and Abdusallami Mohammed of Team Nasarawa played against Amir Mohammed and Bola Kolawole of the Invited Junior Athletes (IJA), winning 4-1 in the first set and 4-1 in the second set.

In Scramble, the team has played 4 out of 13 matches in the singles category, which includes open singles, intermediate singles, masters singles, and female singles, to determine the winners and rated players.

Also, in Volleyball, Team Nasarawa lost 3-0 to Teams Lagos and Rivers, with 19-25 points in the first round.

Team Nasarawa has scooped 8 medals, including one gold, one silver, and six bronze.
