Eid-el-Fitr: Governor Sule urges citizens to uphold Ramadan virtues

As Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has called on citizens to remain steadfast in applying the virtues of Ramadan.

In his Sallah message issued on Saturday and signed by Governor Sule, he emphasised the importance of consistent supplication, perseverance, humility, hospitality, good neighborliness and the spirit of sharing in daily activities.

“As we celebrate this Sallah, I urge us all to re-affirm our obedience to Allah’s injunctions as contained in the noble Qur’an and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad,” Governor Sule stated.

He also appealed to Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he works to turn around the country’s fortunes through various economic policies.

Governor Sule acknowledged the temporary hardships caused by some of these initiatives but assured citizens that Nigeria will soon enjoy the dividends of these policies.

The governor also urged motorists to exercise caution and obey traffic regulations during the festive period.

He, therefore wished all Muslims a happy Sallah celebration and encouraged citizens to continue praying for peace, security and economic prosperity in the State.
